IOWA CITY, IOWA – Over 200 people attended the first ever Star Tour on Saturday, Jan. 29 in Iowa City. Sponsored by the Science Center of Iowa, Star Tour participants were able to view the moon, Mars, Venus, the Orion Nebula, and more.
An astronomy graduate student volunteer from the University of Iowa, Staci Tiedeken, ran a telescope alongside Science Center staff.
If you missed Saturday’s Star Tour, there are a dozen more chances left this year to be a part of a star party.
