WC Rocketry Team

We received a fun video from the WC Rocketry Team at Webster City High School. This is the team’s sub-scale rocket launch, and they share that their full-scale rocket will be twice this size. The WC Rocketry Team is from Webster City High School, and is participating in the NASA Student Launch Competition. The WC Rocketry Team is mentored by Mark Murphy, who is the Director of Technology for Webster City Community School District. The team is coached by Matt Matteson and Bill Huegerich.

Space Health Institute Postdoctoral Fellowship Opportunity

The Translational Research Institute for Space Health (TRISH) funds innovative space health research projects and supports programs in the areas of physical and mental health surveillance, prevention, and medical treatments. By solving some of National Aeronautics and Space Admin NASA’s most intractable health challenges in deep space, the Translational Research Institute for Space Health is challenging the boundaries in medicine, science, technology, and engineering to advance humanity as a multi-planetary species.

“The Flying Hobos” STEM Opportunity

The Flying Hobos is a STEM-based Living History play, and a chance to learn about James Herman Banning and Thomas Cox Allen, who in 1932 became the first African Americans to fly across the United States.
