JUICE: Radar for Icy Moon Exploration; Ground Support Equipment
JUICE (JUpiter ICy moons Explorer) is a European Space Agency mission planned to spend at least three years making detailed observations of Jupiter and three of its largest moons, Ganymede, Callisto and Europa.
With our project we are developing the radar sounder (RIME) to be part of the JUICE payload. Specifically, I am designing the ground support equipment that will be used to test engineering models and ultimately flight models of our instrument.
The GSE will include a timing generator with programmed chirp frequencies to simulate operation. The GSE will also do instrument monitoring and data analysis.
