NASA CONNECTS celebrates 50 years of Landsat! The newest satellite in the fleet, Landsat 9, is going to continue to help scientists track changes both natural and human-caused. These observations of even the most remote areas of earth are freely and openly available to anyone seeking solutions to important issues that make a difference around the world everyday.
NASA’s Next Gen STEM (NGS) will select a limited number of middle school groups for a live virtual event with a NASA expert on July 21, at 1 pm ET. During this event, students will learn about the mission and research and ask questions of a NASA expert. Upon completion of the virtual connection, students will be challenged to complete a hands-on activity. The educators will then share the students’ solutions to NASA through the NASA CONNECTS community of practice. Registration does not guarantee selection to participate in this event.
